Should You Be Worried By Alexandria’s Insider Selling?

I was planning on an update for Alexandria (ARE). As part of the prep work, I decided to glance through recent insider transactions. Insider sales were elevated. But how reliable is that as a predictor?

I decided to build a chart to compare two values over time:

  1. The total amount of shares sold during each quarter.
  2. The weighted average transaction price.

Note: There were only two insider purchases and neither was for a substantial amount. Therefore, I’m going to disregard them. If there were more, I would’ve wanted to chart the purchases also.
